How to Elevate KOGs Scores for December's $RFOX Airdrop
November 6, 2020
In the spirit of giving and holiday cheer, the cold winds of December are stirring up 1 million $RFOX tokens earmarked for KOGs holders’ Ethereum wallets.
When our rewards portal goes live, you’ll be able to link your WAX Cloud Wallet to an Ethereum address. Syncing two accounts to one person will help curb shenanigans from the blockchain thugs trying to claim one of your addresses as their own!
As explained in our recent RFOX token airdrop article, KOGs holders earn points for their rankings in 3 different categories: collection, mint, and rarity.
We’ve convert these scores to create our own points-based rewards system (score), and we'll be spreading 1M RFOX all across the pool of point-earners. So, how do you rise up in the rankings? Let’s break down how each score is tallied …
Collection Score: 15%
Collection Score: 15%
Completing any of 4 set types — Border Sets, Rainbow Sets, Series Sets, and Supersets — earns you points in this category.
Each KOGs set has its own point value — complete a set, then earn points. Simple as that!
Mint Score: 40%
There are 2 ways to actively raise your mint score:
1) Hold the Lowest Mint # of Single KOG Designs
If you’re holding mint #1 and 6 and 12 — all ‘Astro’ in pink #13, for example— you only get credit for the lowest mint # held. So, with any KOG in your collection, always opt for the lower mint # if given a choice.
But that’s only half the equation …
2) Hold KOGs with Low Overall Mint #s
A tiered formula assigns scores based on how many of a specific KOG are in circulation. The more there are of something, the higher the value for low mints.
For example, a mint 3/1000 carries more weight than a mint 3/500. What about the foils, of which very few exist? Those ultra-rare NFTs will pump your score in the next measurement …
Rarity Score: 45%
The category carrying the most weight accounts for every KOG you own. Each KOG — all 3,414 variations comprising the 1st Edition — has its own rarity score, posted on WAXplorer’s Collection Stats page.
An arbitrary weighting number — 5 — is part of the rarity score formula: 5 x (A/B)/(A/C).
- A = the overall supply of the most common KOG in a single design.
- B = the overall supply of the KOG being rated.
- C = the overall supply of the rarest KOG in a single design.
For example, let’s use the non-foil 'Abomination' KOG.
Adding up all the pieces across all 12 border types — 35 Pineapple, 44 Sirens, etc. — gives us 410 Abomination KOGs currently in circulation.
Here’s how you’d calculate the rarity score for every Abomination KOG in your collection: 5 x (44/410)/(44/28) = 0.34.
Remember, a new KOG can pop out of a pack at any moment and disrupt the rarity score. But any changes apply to every collector who proudly owns that KOG.
