KOGs Slammer Game Gives Players 4 Ways to Attack Stacks

December 15, 2020

Think You Can Become a Slammer Grandmaster?

Mindlessly hurling your Slammer down at a stack of KOGs won’t get the job done. Just like the real-world game you already know  —   Pogs, Poggers, Milk Caps, Tazos, or however it’s known in your region  —  KOGs Slammer Game is a test of skill. In other words, it’s all about brain over brawn!

You can employ multiple tactics in the physical realm as you try to flip game pieces over as if they're flapjacks. And our upcoming mobile blockchain game recreates those same maneuvers.

But before we get into some of the specific gameplay mechanics, let’s quickly define the game’s rules. Better still, we’ll reveal some all-new screenshots along the way …

How to Play KOGS Slammer Game

Traditionally, a stack of game pieces gets smaller as the game goes on. But we’re adding a few twists to keep things fair and balanced in the digital world.

For starters, there’s no first-turn advantage. Players 1 and 2 both have equal chances of winning no matter who throws first. Plus, rather than dwindling after every throw, the stack always remains the same size.

Here's a simple gameplay overview for you :

Step 1: Collect KOGs

KOGs NFTs are  found at AtomicHub, where you can buy, sell, and trade your way to completing different sets.

2nd Edition KOGs see life on Dec. 22, 2020, and KOGs Slammer Game colorfully displays and sorts your entire KOGs inventory.

Unlike in-game items within today’s hits on PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox, KOGs seamlessly transfer from game to game.

KOGs —  Keys to Other Games  —  are only the beginning of an interoperable NFT ecosystem. KOGs Slammer Game is the first playable title from RFOX Games, with the next game slated for Q1 2021.

Step 2: Challenge a Foe

A video game like no other in existence, KOGs Slammer Game processes all of its game logic on a distributed blockchain network.

Your adversaries can be playing from anywhere in the world. Fire up the game to wage war against a global pool of competitors.

Step 3: Stack Your KOGs

You can’t play a match without a stack of 40 KOGs. Don’t have any KOGs or don’t have enough to get started? No worries because collectible, stackable NFTs are available from within the game itself.

No, we don’t expect anyone to risk the Ultra-Rare items in the image above. Play for fun or play for keeps — we’ll leave that game-mode decision up to you!

Don’t let the high prices scare you, either. The rarities on display here are driven by supply and demand. The 8 Ball Slammers, in particular, are highly coveted by 1st Edition collectors. Expect 2nd Ed. KOGs to be more budget-friendly.

Step 4: Slam the Stack

Players take turns hurling a Slammer into the top of the stack. So, in addition to 40 KOGs, don’t forget to bring your own Slammer to every round!

Slammer = a special game piece that’s bigger and "heavier " than those in the stack.

Now that you’ve got the basics down, we can dive a little deeper …

Setup

*Game rules subject to change prior to KOGs Slammer Game's retail launch.

Each competitor adds 20 KOGs apiece to make a stack of 40.

Round 1

Player A slams.

Player B adds 10 KOGs to the stack.

Player B slams.

Round 2

Player A adds 10 KOGs to the stack.

Player A slams.

Player B adds 10 KOGs to the stack.

Player B slams.

Final Round

Player A adds 10 KOGs to the stack.

Player A slams.

Player B slams.

Every time you flip a KOG over, it counts toward your overall score. The player with the most KOGs at the end of the third round wins the game.

Simple, right? But the lucky players aren’t always victorious. In other words, you won’t get very far without proper technique …

Mind the Skill Gap

Imagine holding a Slammer in your hand. Use your mind to feel its weight. You’re going to throw it onto a stack of game pieces, trying to flip over as many as possible. How would you go about it?

Would you chuck it soft or with force? How about the angle of attack? Do you prefer to add spin? From how far away would you let it fly? In KOGs Slammer Game, you can adjust all of those important parameters.

Tweaking 4 separate meters alters how a Slammer bangs into the KOGs stack:

  • Arm Height
  • Arm Strength
  • Slammer Angle
  • Slammer Spin  —  Backspin & Topspin

Again, you can’t expect to win by casually strolling into a match like a mindless button-tapping zombie! Your slamming decisions will decide your fate.

Game On!

Glancing at the KOGs Roadmap reveals how December is a massive month for the ecosystem.

2nd Edition NFTs are going up for sale on Dec. 22  —  beginning with juiced-up, special-slot-heavy Collector’s Packs. Plus, the last day of the month looks to deliver the long-awaited beta version of KOGs Slammer Game.

Put the game on your phone and then hone your skills. Who knows, you may become the one and only champion of KOGs. Happy slamming!
