3rd Edition Collector's Starter Pack revealed
As the release of 3rd Edition draws near, we're excited to show you what we've done to level up the look of not just the KOGs, but everything about their presentation.
You've seen the borders. Now we're showing you the packs, starting with the 3rd Edition Collector's Starter Pack.
The packs from previous editions are very digital. There's no limit as to how many KOGs can fit in each pack. The 3rd Edition Collector's Starter Pack recreates the look and logic of real-world trading card packs, something that you can grab off the rack. It takes the scale of KOGs in mind - they're meant to fit 30 KOGs total: 2 KOGs wide, 3 KOGs high, 5 KOGs deep.
It also features a blister pack window that shows 3 preview KOGs, helping pin down the scale of the box if it were a real-world item.
To complete the real-world look, we added plastic laminations on certain surfaces to make those areas shiny and attractive, just like actual lamination on print boxes. It's an NFT you can feel, right?
And just like its predecessors, the 3rd Edition Collector's Starter Pack contains thirty (30) KOGs:
